The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that coverage is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your assessment.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
